The city of Arequipa is known for its unique colonial architecture, culinary scene and beautiful views of the countryside surrounded by dormant volcanoes. Its Historical Center is recognised as a World Heritage Site because of its beautiful colonial buildings, churches, temples, and monasteries such as Santa Catalina. And, of course, the world famous Juanita mummy.

Colca Canyon

Colca Canyon is considered one of the homes of the Peruvian Condor. Your journey will start with a visit to the Condor’s Cross, where you will get a unique view of one of the deepest canyons in the world. You will also visit the Andean towns of Pinchollo, Maca y Yanque, full of beautiful colonial churches. You will also stop at several lookout spots, such as Antahuilque and Choquetico, where you will be able to observe pre-inca burial sites and thousands of terraces that cover the Andean slopes. After visiting the thermal waters of Chilvay, you will stop at the Mirador de los Volcanos, a lookout spot located at 4,910 meters above sea level, where you will get a privileged view of the volcanoes in the areas, and learn about and see the local wildlife, such as birds, alpacas, llamas and vicunyas.
